Looks like super model Padma Lakshmi is moving ahead in life after the much talked about divorce with author Sir Salman Rushdie. Padma who has dabbled in a lot of other things apart from modelling, is busy with a new cookbook Tangy Tart Hot and Sweet: A World of Recipes for Every Day and is also hosting the successful series Top Chef.

Padma will be starring in Oscar-nominated director Deepa Mehta's upcoming pseudo-historical film, Exclusion. Recently the renowned director was heard saying, "I think she is seriously underestimated and I would love to have her in my film, Exclusion, though she is not from Punjab or any northern state in India. I just love those eyes." Exclusion is a period drama, starring Amitabh Bachchan and John Abraham.
