Tabu
Our only complaint -- and this, I write on behalf of the nation -- is that this stunning actress isn't seen enough.
Thankfully, she deigned to give us a fair few glimpses in 2007, the lovely 'tangdi kabab,' -- as Amitabh Bachchan referred to her in R Balki's breezy, directorial debut, Cheeni Kum, a film where she matched the actor stride for long-legged stride, sarcastically tongue-in-cheek and delightfully deadpan.
Plus, she finally appeared to Indian audiences with the release of Mira Nair's adaptation of Jhumpa Lahiri's The Namesake, and her role as the belaboured Bengali housewife was very warmly received indeed.
That, plus she was the single most droolworthy in her red-sari appearance in the cameo-packed Om Shanti Om.
