Rani's been coming up trumps with great consistency, her films either finding favour with the box office or the critics, and living sandwiched between rave reviews and megacrore offers sounds pleasurable enough.
This year brought Rani a hiccup. Then another. Till it turned into a full-blown fit of failures, her three movies being written off as complete duds, with nothing to salvage. Ta Ra Rum Pum was moronic, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag both regressive and a drag, and then there was Saawariya, about which the lesser said the better.
At a time when new starlets are emerging and old ones are losing their sheen, the queen better hold on to her crown -- and watch what she's signing.
